Parents
WCAHA strongly recommends that one parent per player takes part in the USA Hockey Safesport Training. This is a free online training courses aimed at creating safe and respectful sport environments for all athletes that we feel is beneficial to each of our families.
Steps for Registering for Safesport for families:
- Register with USA Hockey -- Select Volunteer (no fee)
- Complete SafeSport.
Managers / Safety additional requirements:
- USA Hockey Registration (same as above)
- If Manager or Safety of PCAHA Team – you need to get a BC Hockey Number (one time only)

Student Coaches:

Coaches: (Practice Only, Assistant and Head)
Requirements: USA Hockey Registration, Background Check, SafeSport Training, USA Hockey Coaching Education Clinic, USA Hockey Age Specfic Module, BC Hockey Concussion Awareness (CATT).
- USA Hockey Registration choose Player/Coach
- Complete coaching application
- Complete the CEP and ASM modules(1) specific to your age group (Every year, training Sept - Dec of each season, reimbursable)
If you are going to be an Assistant or Head coach of a PCAHA League Team you need to complete the following in addition:
- BC Hockey Registration
- Respect In Sport
- BC Hockey Coach 2 - Coach Level
- BC Hockey Concussion Awareness (CATT)
- To Register for PCAHA Team – you need to get a BC Hockey Number (one time only)

Adult volunteers, please complete and submit a reimbursement request along with copies of receipts once all training is complete to:
