2023-24 Whatcom Warriors Registration is open

before you begin registration please read the following

  • All players need to obtain a USA HOCKEY NUMBER before beginning the registration process. This information is required. This is done once a season for hockey players and is how our association is able to hold our insurance policy and offer a number of USA Hockey programs, including gear lease options.
  • All new-to-WCAHA and all players, who have not played in the Canadian league yet, will need to upload a birth certificate, passport or Nexus pass during the registration process.
  • All players, returning and new, need to use the registration link below to register.

2023-24 Whatcom Warriors Registration

Registration deadline is August 6 for U11 and older skaters. Prices increase after that date and a roster spot on a team can not be guaranteed. In the event that there is not a roster spot available for a player, registration fees will be returned or the player may choose to "practice only" with a team. Evaluation skate schedules have been emailed out. If you have not received, please contact registrar@whatcomhockey.com.


NOVICE PROGRAMS

U7 - Novice House  (Birth years 2017 and younger)
$600 - Registration Fee, must register before October 1, 2023.

U7 Novice House is for our youngest skaters. They will practice two evenings a week and have several fun jamborees during the season. The program starts in October and ends in March. Half season options are available at this level. Contact registrar@whatcomhockey.com.

 

U9 - Novice House Full Season (Birth years 2015-2016)
$600 - Registration Fee, must register before October 1, 2023.

Novice House is a local-only hockey program featuring two evening practices per week.  In addition to practices, the U9 Novice House program will participate in a few local cross-ice jamboree games. The program starts in October and ends in March. Half season options are available at this level. Contact registrar@whatcomhockey.com

 

U9 - League Play (Birth years 2015 - 2016)
$900 - Registration Fee, must register before October 1, 2023.
$1,200 - Late Registration Fee.

U9 – Novice League Play is our first opportunity for a regular game schedule for players. U9 Novice league features two evening practices per week and approximately 12 league games in the PCAHA (Lower Mainland BC) league.  Games are played at the Bellingham Sportsplex and at rinks in areas such as Surrey, Langley and. Cloverdale. The program starts in October and ends in March.  Teams may choose to participate in Washington State or BC tournaments at an extra cost.


U11 (Birth Years 2013 -2014)
$1,200 - Registration Fee, must register before August 6, 2023.
$1,560 - Late Registration Fee.

U11 is our recreational league competition program for 9 and 10 year olds, featuring two evening practices per week and approximately 22 weekly league games in the PCAHA (Lower Mainland BC) league.  Games are played at the Bellingham Sportsplex and throughout the Lower Mainland.. The program starts in early September and ends in March.  Teams may also participate in tournaments in Washington and BC at an extra cost.


U13 (Birth Years 2011-2012)
$1,450 - Registration Fee, must register before August 6, 2023.
$1,800 - Late Registration Fee.

U13 is our recreational league competition program for 11 and 12 year olds, featuring two evening practices per week and approximately 22 weekly league games in the PCAHA (Lower Mainland BC) league.  Games are played at the Bellingham Sportsplex and throughout the Lower Mainland. The program starts in early September and ends in March.  Teams may also participate in tournaments in Washington and BC at an extra cost.

  • Registration is based on a C level team, should your skater be offered and accept a roster position on a higher level team, there is an additional $800 rep team fee.  

U15  (Birth Years 2009-2010)
$1,525 - Registration Fee, must register before August 6, 2023.
$1,875- Late Registration Fee.

U15 is our recreational league program for 13 and 14 year olds, featuring two evening practices per week and approximately 22 weekly league games in the PCAHA (Lower Mainland BC) league.  Games are played at the Bellingham Sportsplex and throughout the Lower Mainland. The program starts in early September and ends in March.  Teams may also participate in tournaments in Washington and BC at an extra cost.

  • Registration is based on a C level team, should your skater be offered and accept a roster position on a higher level team, there is an additional $850 rep team fee. 

U18 (Birth Years 2006 - 2008)
$1,800 -  Registration Fee, must register before August 6, 2023.
$2,150 - Late Registration Fee.

U18 is our recreational league program for 15, 16 & 17  year olds, featuring two evening practices per week and approximately 22 weekly league games in the PCAHA (Lower Mainland BC) league.  Games are played at the Bellingham Sportsplex and throughout the Lower Mainland. The program starts in early September and ends in March.  Teams may also participate in tournaments in Washington and BC at an extra cost.

  • Registration is based on a C level team, should your skater be offered and accept a roster position on a higher level team, there is an additional $850 rep team fee.

New to WCAHA

  • If you are transferring into WCAHA from another association, you will need to provide Release from your previous association. 

Scholarship

The WCAHA scholarship program exists to help reduce the financial costs associated with participation in the sport of hockey.       

Scholarships are available to families who demonstrate financial need based upon a set of predetermined criteria.  The scholarship committee will make awards based on demonstrated need as well as other non-financial factors.  Click here for more information and the application for the scholarship program.

 

The application process steps must be completed as follows:

  1. Register with WCAHA and pay the $150 registration fee
  2. Register with USA Hockey
  3. Submit completed application by September 1 in advance of the current season.
