Practice starts September 14!

With our new COVID-19 protocol, practice will look different than it has in the past.  Our 10U, 12U, 14U, 16U skaters have been placed into four practice groups.  If you have not received your practice time from your Practice Leader, please contact us at registrar@whatcomhockey.com.  Our 8U Novice skaters will start practice the week of October 12.  More information will be sent to those parents in late-September.

Tuesday - 6:15-7:10p.m. -  Group 2

*The week of October 26, practice schedules will change and all skaters will skate with their age group.

COVID-19 Protocol

The WCAHA Board has approved a COVID-19 Safety Plan for Phase 2 of Washington State's Re-Opening of Youth Sports practices.  Please familiarize yourself with the association's new policies before attending your first practice.  We also created a video for your review to walk you and your skater through what will happen at the rink when you arrive.

REGISTRATION FOR THE 2020-21 SEASON IS CURRENTLY CLOSED

Our U10, U12, U14 and U16 registrations are currently closed.  If you have questions about participating this season, please contact registrar@whatcomhockey.com

 

Our Board is assessing our programs for our youngest skaters at this time.  Below are our typical Fall and Winter programs.  If you are interested, please contact us at registrar@whatcomhockey.com

Novice Programs (8 and Under)

U8 - Novice House (2012 & 2013 birth years) $505 Early Bird pricing must register before September 3, 2020.  $600 after 9/3/2020.  U8-Novice House is a local only hockey program featuring two evening practices per week.  In addition to practices, the U8 Novice House program will participate in a few local cross-ice jamboree games. The program starts in October and ends in March.

U8 - Novice League (2012 & 2013 birth years) $750 Early Bird pricing must register before July 15, 2020.  $940 after 7/15/2020. U8-Novice League (aka Novice H3) is our league competition program featuring two evening practices per week and approximately 12 league games in the PCAHA (Pacific Coast Hockey Association) league.  Games are played at the Bellingham Sportsplex and in the Fraser Valley West region of BC.  The program starts in October and ends in March.  Teams optionally participate in a season end tournament at extra cost.

U8 - Novice House Fall Season  (2012 & 2013 birth years) (half season starting in October) Early Bird pricing $300 must register before September 3, 2020.  $350 after 9/3/2020. This is the same program as U8 - Novice House but is only for half of the year starting in October and ending mid-December.

U8 - Novice House Winter Season  (2012 & 2013 birth years) (half season starting in January) Early Bird pricing $300 must register before December 1, 2020.  $350 after 12/1/2020. This is the same program as Novice House but is only for half of the year starting in January and ending mid-March.

U6 - Novice House (2014 & 2015 birth years) $300. For this year, our youngest skaters will be on the ice one day a week from end of October - early March.  If an opportunity arises to add another day to their schedule beginning in January, we will move to two days a week and there will be an additional fee.
